Den 8 januari - Idag har vi Ă€gnat oss Ă„t vĂ€sterlĂ€ndska aktiviteter. Vi fick tipset att pĂ„ vĂ€gen till Gopi stanna vid ett enormt köpcenter med en matgalleria dĂ€r barnen kunde fĂ„ lite vĂ€lkĂ€nd mat, sĂ„som pizza. Dottern blev mycket glad över att fĂ„ Ă€ta pizza, och Milo, stackaren med en lös tand đŠ·, fick i sig nĂ„gra dumplings. Det Ă€r alltid intressant att gĂ„ in i affĂ€rer i ett annat land. HĂ€r var det dock inte sĂ„ annorlunda jĂ€mfört med andra stora köpcentrum vi sett i USA đșđž, till exempel.
Det var lite roligt att se att de hade ett minitivoli dĂ€r inne. HĂ€r fick man plats med en hel del saker pĂ„ liten yta đ.
Vi gick in i en stor, typiskt indisk Ica Maxi dĂ€r de hade allt. Jag har aldrig sett sĂ„ mĂ„nga olika sorters brytbönor och sĂ„ mĂ„nga olika sorters dadlar, allt i lösvikt đ.
NĂ€sta stora Ă€ventyr blev hemma hos Gopi, dĂ„ Milo upptĂ€ckte en enorm tusenfoting i badrummet och blev galet rĂ€dd. Den var enorm, det hĂ„ller jag med om, och hade tvĂ„ stora klor dĂ€r bak. Gopi sa att om den biter dig blir du svullen som vid ett getingbett đ, men du dör inte, som Milo trodde đ.
Imorgon ska Gopis fyra hundar till veterinĂ€ren. Valparna ska genomgĂ„ en kontroll, och det ska Ă€ven de stora. Kerala har, vad jag tror, ett unikt veterinĂ€rsystem. HĂ€r fĂ„r alla husdjur gratis veterinĂ€rvĂ„rd, som betalas av delstaten Kerala. Eller inte helt gratis; man fĂ„r betala 30 rupees under en fyra veckors period om djuret behöver vĂ„rd. Det finns djurambulanser som Ă€gs av delstaten och Ă„ker ut för att hĂ€mta husdjur som behöver vĂ„rd. Men imorgon kommer en privat djurambulans till Gopi och hĂ€mtar upp hans hundar för en checkup. Han vĂ€ljer en privat ambulans eftersom de Ă€ven hjĂ€lper till med att klippa klorna đ. Det vore nĂ„got för Sverige att införa, att alla husdjur ska ha rĂ€tt till veterinĂ€rvĂ„rd precis som mĂ€nniskor â fattiga som rika â har rĂ€tt till vĂ„rd för sina husdjur! đ đ„ đ đ đ.

The 8th of January - Gopi, Dogs, and Shopping Mall đïžđ¶đïž
Today, we've engaged in Western activities. We were advised that on the way to Gopi, we should stop at an enormous shopping center with a food court where the kids could enjoy some familiar food such as pizza. The daughter was very happy to have pizza, and Milo, poor thing with a loose tooth đŠ·, had some dumplings. It's always interesting to step into stores in another country. Here, it was not so different from other large shopping malls we've seen in the USA đșđž, for example.
It was a bit amusing to see that they had a mini-amusement park inside. Here, you could fit a lot of things in a small space đ.
We entered a large, typical Indian Ica Maxi where they had everything. I have never seen so many different types of snap beans and so many different varieties of dates, all in bulk.
The next big adventure was at Gopi's place when Milo discovered an enormous centipede in the bathroom and became extremely scared. It was enormous, I agree, and had two large claws at the back. Gopi said that if it bites you, you will get swollen like with a wasp sting đ, but you won't die, as Milo thought đ.
Tomorrow, Gopi's four dogs are going to the veterinarian. The puppies will have a checkup, and the same goes for the big ones. Kerala has, as I believe, a unique veterinary system. Here, all pets receive free veterinary care, paid for by the state of Kerala. Or not entirely free, you have to pay 30 rupees over a four-week period if the animal needs care. There are state-owned animal ambulances that go out and pick up pets in need of care. But tomorrow, a private animal ambulance will come to Gopi and pick up his dogs for a checkup. He chooses a private one because they also help with trimming the nails đ. That would be something for Sweden to introduce, that all pets should have the right to veterinary care just like us humans â whether poor or rich â have the right to care for our pets! đ đ„ đ đ đ.
